Which hinge is most commonly used?

Of the various types of hinges, the flat hinge (also known as the plain hinge) is the most commonly used. These hinges have two parallel blades or arms that rotate around a central axis. Flat hinges are widely used in furniture and equipment such as doors, drawers, cabinets, etc. because they are simple, easy to install, affordable and meet most basic needs.

In addition to flat hinges, there are a number of other types of hinges that are more common due to their specific function or application scenarios:

Cushioning hinges (hydraulic cushioning hinges, damping hinges): these hinges can provide a cushioning effect during opening and closing to reduce noise and impact, and are therefore very popular in cabinet doors, drawers and other occasions where quietness and vibration damping are required.

Concealed hinges: Concealed hinges are cleverly designed to be completely hidden behind the door or window when closed, without damaging the overall aesthetics of the furniture or building. Therefore, it is often used for occasions with high requirements on appearance, such as high-level cabinets, display cabinets, etc.

Stainless steel hinges: Due to the excellent corrosion resistance and durability of stainless steel, stainless steel hinges are especially suitable for wet, corrosive or long-term use of the environment, such as kitchens, bathrooms and so on.

Disengaging hinges: disengaging hinges are easy to install, dismantle and adjust the angle, so they are very popular in furniture manufacturing and maintenance. Especially in the need for frequent replacement of door panels or adjust the position of the hinges, the advantages of the stripped hinges are more obvious.

Special angle hinges: such as 45 degrees, 135 degrees and other unconventional opening angle of the hinge, they can meet the needs of a particular design or space constraints, so in some special occasions are also more common.

It should be noted that, although the plane hinge is the most commonly used one, but in the actual application, the choice of which hinge also need to be based on the specific use of the scene, functional requirements, budget and other factors for comprehensive consideration.
